I don't know what crap you have been fed but I lived there till 72 and I don't know any TC who suffered locally from TMT. Except Kavazoglu who was killed on Lurucina soil.

Yeah, Bir is a down to earth guy and knowledgeable... to your question, TMT maintains detailed files for every individual in TRNC... once you are a marked man, you are as good as dead. This practice attributed to TMT's success and continues to this very day. My father (Yialousitis) told me many stories about TMT agents busting into people's homes, in the middle of the night, terrorizing families into submission. These stories are endless.

Denktas was one of the founders of TMT and, of course, chief commander, ordering these operations... hence the exile to Australia of Bir's dad... no one knows for sure what secrets he possessed but they must have been pretty important... and life threatening, if you ask me.
