A pint-sized former Brit oil worker whose loyalty towards the Turkish Cypriots extends to going native in a village full of UBP supporting mainland Turks. Also someone who invites posters on the carpetbagger site to question the legal validity of the "TRNC" so he can ban them. But lately he's started to cheese off even the regulars. He hides his face in shame at what he's become.

I, personally, would be somewhat offended if I was termed as either. But especially "Turk", which let's be honest, no civilised person would want to be mistaken for, if they weren't really one.

Mal you are allowing your racism to shine through again. Every race has about 5% criminal element and Turkey is no different.
Stop it now.

No, it's just a cold, objective analysis of Turkey's (and the Turks') reputation on the world (or certainly European) stage. They're the national equivalent of, say, Millwall football club. For all sorts of reasons.

Justifying prejudice using others' prejudice is a dangerous game.

Says who? We'll be the judge of that one my dear, what?

Oracle is NO typical stupid Brit,YFred...She is a typical Stupid Greek!!!

This marks a new era on CF...From now on,Whenever she calls us Turk-this and Turk-that...She will get Greek-this and Greek- that...I am sure the decent and honourable Greeks of this world will understand our nobble struggle with this lunatic...

can't imagine what purpose this serves Bir :?

Wasn't aware that being Greek or Turkish was an insult.

Neither was I, DT...Until Oracle and GR! started using Turk as an insult...
I decided that the only way to deal with a bully is with their own weapons...If Turk is an insult,so should Greek be from now on...But remember who started it first...

Anyone who respects Human Rights and Democracy will of course realise being called a "Turk" is indeed an insult. Due to their behaviour in racially ethnically cleansing nearly half of Cyprus from native Greeks. Also genocide denials. Also expansionism. Also shooting Kurds. Also article 301 ... Oh I'm too bored to go on with the number of things associated with barbarian Turks!

I don't think you'll find being called Greek has nearly the same level of degradation ... but of course you are a stupid Turk and will fail to realise the significance.
