Cyprus is not your homeland. The homeland of Turks is Central Asia. Don't you even know your own history?Turks are from Central Asia who came and invaded our lands. You do not belong here. We don't mind foreigners, we have many others. But if you want to live in Cyprus you should become civilized otherwise we will have to send you back to Central Asia to live together with the Taliban with whom you share religion and have similar culture and ideals. We were lucky that Cyprus was one of the last territories to be captured by the Turks and that the Turks lost control of our island in 1878, or else none of us would be here today.
If it wasn't for the Ottomans the population of Cypriots would have been 2 or 3 times more today. Not only the Turks have massacred 10s of thousands of Cypriots, but they let Cyprus into famines that drove the numbers of the Cypriot population down, while at the same time they were bringing their Settlers in our island to replace the local population. They couldn't get rid all of us at once since they needed slaves to exploit, but the process to annihilate us, de-Hellenize our island and replace us with Muslims was well on its way.
It is sad that today in the 21st century you exhibit the same kind of mentality as your forefathers did. It appears that universal principles such as democracy and human rights never registered with you.
Instead of threatening us with more of the same aggression (and then have the nerve to blame us because we have to fight in the conflicts and wars you initiate against us) it would be much better to finally leave behind that kind of middle age mentality and accept to have in Cyprus what exists in every other modern EU country.
For starters you should finally abandon your century old aim of de-Hellenizing Cyprus and start respecting the culture and identity of the majority of the population of this island as well as our history. You are free to define your identity and maintain your culture and similarly you should start respecting ours. There are many multi-ethnic nations around the world (most are today) and this is never a problem as long as all citizens are equal with no discrimination against them merely because they belong to one or another ethnic group.
The anachronistic Ottoman practices of dividing people based on their religion and giving different rights to people belonging to different groups should stay where it belongs - in the past. So should other racist apartheid practices such as segregation via ethnic cleansing.
Any kind of negotiation for a solution should be done within the above framework and anything that is undemocratic and violates the human rights of any number of citizens should be out of the question. This is the only way to find a true and lasting solution.
If you think that because you currently have more military power than us that you can blackmail us and force us to accept something racist and undemocratic that will benefit you on our expense, this will not provide a permanent solution since you should not expect the Cypriot people to be able to tolerate indefinitely racist discriminations and injustices on their expense. Such kind of "solution" will only be part of the problem and the circle of blood and violence will continue.
The most important thing you need to understand is this: Cyprus, the whole of it, belongs to all Cypriots, and the majority of all parts are GCs. Therefore there can not be any "Turkish Cyprus" anywhere on this island. The TCs are free to maintain their separate language, religion and culture and they will have their fair share of resources from the state in order to do this. They will also have the 100% of their human and democratic rights. Beyond that TCs will be equal Cypriot citizens, and they will participate in the normal democratic procedures along with the rest of Cypriots so we can all together decide what we want for our own island. In a democracy not every citizen needs to agree (that is impossible), and as long as the human rights of all citizens are 100% respected, decisions beyond that are taken by a majority vote.
The numerous other successful multi-ethnic nations show the way. We know what works and we know what doesn't. We learned from our own mistakes and the mistakes that many other nations did in the past, and this time don't expect from us to accept something racist and undemocratic, no matter how much we are forced and blackmailed.
