If you were in a foregien country (and I am not sure if or how well he understood english) and some guys not in uniform started shouting at you and pointing guns at you would you stand there and put your hands up or run. I personaly do not know which I would do but running does not seem a totaly irrational or unexplainable reaction to me.

Dude!

Quit trying to disect it. It will drive you insane. It happened and you gotta move on. These are incredibly difficult times but eventually we will sort through them.

Erolz, a pointed gun speaks a universal language. It says, "Stop or I'll shoot." He wasn't running from the Gestapo in Natzi Germany. He was in the UK at a subway stop with swarms of people around.

The question that remains unanswered is: Why did he run rather than submit?

Aparently the Brazilian guy was here on an expired student visa.

As for stopping if 5 guys pointed guns at you...well i doubt he knew they had guns until they the split second when they pulled them out and shit him 8 times in the head area.

For all he knew, they were chasing him to deport him.

Im surprised i havent heard anything about any riots...big Portugese / Brazilian population in South / South West London.

A tragedy in the making and probably one that will be repeated. When challenged by any authority in any country the sensible thing is to stop & answer the questions. In times such as we are in any police force cannot and must not take a chance. I will strongly rebuke the allegation in an earlier post that the UK Police are trigger happy, very much the opposite in fact. The situation they were placed in was to all intents and purposes on the tail of a fleeing suicide bomber amongst hundreds of people in a small enclosed area (a recipe for maximum damage). They knew he could detonate in a split second by the press of a button or any number of other means. What would you do? They did the only thing they could do in order to protect the public. Always remember that armed response officers are human too, have partners and children at home and whereas we will forget about this when the next story breaks they will live with the consequences of their actions forever. As sad as it is the poor victim took a decision to run and try to evade, it proved to be the wrong thing to do.
