I doubt it! He was an EOKA member in the 50s.

Assassinated in 1970.

I dont believe if his membership matters. How many times did he `escape` from jail? Especially in that conditions which makes any escape attempt impossible.

On the other hand he allways had an underground connection with Denktash through another lawyer Mentesh Aziz. Also the place of Grivas was allways known by British intelligence, and he was the only outside connection of Grivas at that time.

Once, two lawyers went to him when he was still in office. Hikmet and Gurkan, who were the opposition against Denktash. He took their speeches into record and send to Dektash. Both lawyers found dead.

You may question his relationship with denktash. Denktash (and his father) was also working for British for considerable time period. in middle of 1940, Denktash rejected to join TC national movement. But suddenly he became a leader years later.

He was also known under the EOKA code name of Houdini!

Very interesting information about his relationship with Denktash. I didn't know this. Thanks!

He was also Koumbaros with Tassos Pappadopoulos and tried to assassinate Makarios in 1970, the same year he was assassinated.

And his wife, married his koumbaros, after he was assasinated. Read Makarios Droushiotis book on this one, there are some interesting revelations.

I even heard that his Koumbaros was involved in the assassination and that he may have been the one to pull the trigger as a reprisal for the coup and assassination attempt against Makarios. Then he steals his widowed wife.

Boy I have a headache! What a soap opera!

Makarios Droushiotis Cyprus great gossiping aunt. You're starting to sound like the army re Bananiot.

You got a headache? Take an aspirin
Got a brokern arm? Take an aspirin
Wanna know about EOKA? Read Droushiotis
Wanna know which junta officer fucked more whores in soutsou? Read Droushiotis

I doubt Droushiotis knows more than Konstantinos and Maria Yiorkatdji who looked to Tassos and loved as their 2nd dad. SOmething which would have been a tiny bit difficult had they suspected what Droushiotis is saying.
