The TC ministers started to disrupt parliament from November 1963. The unrests in December 1963 were a direct consequence of this initiation for partition. Next in the sequence were the Kokkina arms smuggling and then Turkey's direct invasion attempt in July-August 1964

I will stick my neck out and say that the initiation for partition began before that. The 'disruption' you talk about is bound to happen in any parliament.

They did not even come to blow like they do in Greece and or Turkey - and even guns in Sud-Amerika.

The TC leadership must have had a good sense to prepare for Akritas. With Enosis on your mind then, partition was the only defence the TCs had.

I remember the slogans during marches pre-1963 and the slogans of' Ya Taksim Ya ÖlÜM'. Someone must have had this in mind and planted the idea into the 'Cyprus Donkeys head'. But what the TCs then wanted was a peaceful partition rather than by force.IMHO.

Thanks for sticking your (lovely) neck out with regards to the TC ministers' disruptions. I went for as conservative an estimate as I could google.

But Deniz, you know full well there was no effort towards Enosis after 1960. So the earlier Turkish partition plans (Denktash-Kucuk) were the only obstacle to unity. Besides, no one could have known about "Akritas" (whether it was real or not) since it did not materialise until much later (1967?).

Listen dunderhead ... why don't you tell us what you know then; since even according to your Turkish propaganda this "top secret plan" wasn't known about until it was published in 1967!:

This top secret plan, with the name of 'AKRITAS PLAN', was first published in the Greek Cypriot newspaper PATRIS on 21st April 1967,

The Murderers Klerides, Makarios, Tpapa, Samson Yorgajis, Grivas and a few others got together three months after the signature that set up the roc. What is it that you are after, a link to prove that. How? when it was not officially accepted as an event until 1967.

OMG.............Oracle. That may be the picture they were trying to paint. Well they did convince you that Enosis was dead, but the embers were still burning and waiting for the rise of Phoenix to raise its (pardon me, I know you are pretty) ugly head in July 1974. The coup would have NEVER happened if their had been no local support.

It doesn't matter what you claim NOW. The fact is this "top secret plan" wasn't in circulation until 1967. So you could not possibly have been reacting against such a plan between 1960 and 1967!

The TC ministers walked out because Ankara told them to set the wheels in motion for partition and nothing else! All the rest is post-event propaganda!

How do you know they knew of this plan and that it was in fact this actual plan? Do you have any evidence of them referring to this plan and its contents at the time, other than some general unsubstantiated claims which occurred post-walk-out and post 1964 invasion attempt?

They don't ignore this fact. This fact is the reason why they say what they say.

It is like saying: "If a mute person speaks and tells me that mute people are humans too, then I will stop mistreating them". Well, this can never happen. Mute people can not talk. If a mute person speaks, that person would stop being mute.

The same with Bananiot. Bananiot would never ask for a unitary state, this is what makes him a Bananiot. If he asked for such thing, then he would stop being a Bananiot and he would stop being the kind of person that VP and his likes approve.

I am personally amazed that there are people in this forum who can not spot the obvious oxymoron in the claims of VP about Bananiot.

And I am totally amazed you cannot see why the TCs would trust someone like Bananiot....Let me make is simple for you...Bananiot has not got a fanatical bone in his body...Unlike you lot he shows understanding, empathy and compassion for the TC plight...And he is a realist....He knows that given our recent history a Unitary state is not possible...If you had a little sense you would get the point of his signature...Agreed partition is tantamount to treason...Is that the signature of a man who wants to sell his country...???

I can perfectly see why TCs trust somebody like Bananiot. Because people like him are the "good slaves" that can let you have any unfair gain on our expense and never complain about it.

If a unitary state is not possible because you do not accept it, then no kind of partition that would grand to you officially the north part of our island is possible either, because we will not accept it. Or you think what is not possible is only what you do not accept, but what we do not accept is possible?
