interesting concept Bir. So with what you're saying below:

What do you think of the Greek invasion of Anatolia after the WWI???And do you ever consider the possibility that what happened to Greeks who lived in Turkey might have something to do with this????

does this logic also count for the tc murders committed in revenge after the Turkish army invaded Cyprus?

I am just trying to work out how Piratis' mind works,DT...It is becoming clearer by the post...He and You are forever going on about the Turkish invasion of Cyprus. I was just wondering if you ever considered the Greek invasion of Anatolia in the early 20s,and in what light or logic you might have considered it...Do you also think it was totally justified because there were Greeks living in Anatolia once, and the Turks originally came from Central Asia???

if i was turkey i will give back istanbul back to greece, with the all the inhabitants...sit back and watch as greece becomes a suburb of turkey...

Given their present financial situation they would probably flog it to the highest bidder...

Another example of how far BirKibrisli is from reality .. the exaggerating deluded Turkish madman! :D

When you get some time, please get a little education as to whether defending one's territory is called an "invasion". Your Turkish brain is on overdrive!

Who's territory is Cyprus again? Not Greek that's for sure.

Dear lady please kindly wash you hands before you type my name on this forum and wash your mouth with soap if ever you speak my name.
Thank you.

I can feel another thread coming on...HISTORY,ONCE TOUCHED BY GREEKS ANY SOIL REMAINS GREEK FOREVER....According to the likes of Oracle and Piratis...YFred,what do you say?The whole of greece was touched by the Ottomans for centuries....Should Turkey invade Greece now it would not be an invasion according to Oracle...Just homecoming...

The Armenian genocide proves that the Turks didn't need any such excuse to exterminate the Christian populations from Asia Minor. (and the case of Kurds (or "Mountain Turks") shows that the even the Muslims would have no option other than adopting the "Turkish" identity)

The majority of the population of the east and north coasts of Asia Minor were Greeks and therefore those territories should be part of Greece. Any other way not only would be unfair, but would also result with 100% certainty into the gradual elimination of Greeks from Asia Minor.

Let me get this staight...Are you saying that the Greek Army had every right to invade Anatolia after WWI (and come to striking range of Ankara)
because Turks originally (around 900BC) came from Central Asia???

Do you also believe that Istanbul (Constantinople to You!) should also be a part of Greece today??? :?

What 900BC are you talking about???? The Turks captured Constantinople in 1453, but the Greeks remained the majority of the population on the west and north coasts of Asia Minor. Here is a map from 1896.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/c ... groups.jpg

After the fall of the Ottoman Empire and its division into nation states (Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria etc) why shouldn't the territories with a majority of Greek population for 1000s of years be part of the Greek state and instead be part of a Turkish one??

I am not saying that Ankara should have been part of Greece, but Constantinople, Smyrna and the western coast of Asia Minor should have definitely be part of Greece and not part of Turkey.

And I am talking about then, not about today. Greece recognized Turkey with her current borders long time ago. But don't expect from us to do the same with Cyprus. Cyprus belongs entirely to one and only state, the Republic of Cyprus and it is recognized as such by the UN. No more expansionism of the Turks against us will be ever accepted. For as long as you insist in taking even an inch of our territory in either Cyprus or the Aegean there will be war. You took enough of our land in Asia Minor already.

Sorry Piratis....900BC should,of course, have been 900AC....That was when the Turkmen as we call them came and settled in Anatolia....This subject deserves a thread of its own...When I get some time I will open a new thread to discuss the Greek invasion of Anatolia after the WWI...Stay calm and safe till then...Don't start any wars just yet... :)

I am determined to get this date right...900AD....There... :)
