lets not forget the hood incident...

The Hood event (Çuval Olayı in Turkish) was an incident on July 4, 2003 following the 2003 invasion of Iraq where a group of Turkish military personnel operating in northern Iraq were captured, led away with hoods over their heads, and interrogated by the United States military. The soldiers were released after sixty hours, after Turkey protested to the United States.

Though neither side ever apologized, a US-Turkish commission set up to investigate the incident later issued a joint statement of regret.[1] In addition, US Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld wrote a letter to the Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan expressing sorrow over the incident. The "Hood Event" damaged diplomatic relations between Turkey and the United States and marked a low point in US-Turkish relations. While the incident received comparatively little coverage in the United States, it was a major event in Turkey, many of whose citizens saw it as a deliberate insult and nicknamed it "The Hood Event". It later became the basis for the 2006 Turkish film Valley of the Wolves Iraq.

Kiks, somehow, I don't see the US walking into Turkey as easy as they did into Iraq and Afganistan.

Turkey has a strong military with all the latest hardware. However strong the US thinks she is, she will find it easier to stop the supply of weapons and spares than to go in by force. Me thinks that it will be the US that will be walking with its tail between its legs.

The US has nutured Turkey for years and built her up to be the beast she is today, there is no taking that back, unfortunately. As much as I would like to see her out of Cyprus and crushed it is not going to happen like that.

The USA does not need to attack Turkey. All they have to do is keep the fighting to Cyprus. I've said this before, that in the event Turkey is challenged by a large force, all of the TA in Cyprus is trapped there with no place to go or hide. Once the supply line is cut off from mainland Turkey to it's troops in the north, the north will become a "turkey shoot". Any attempt by Turkey to run the gauntlet from mainland Turkey to the north will also become a "turkey shoot". Turkey has all the hardware that the Americans have given them, but the Americans have not given the Turks all the sophisticated software that run the hardware. This has been a long complaint by Turkey, that the Americans hold back on the sophisticated software. How many hardware Turkey has is meaningless without the systems to run them and be used against the US's own hardware. Americans can turn the GPS system on and off as they like to the rest of the world and keep it "on" for themselves in such conflicts. That's just one example. Operating systems on Turkish hardware can be jammed no doubt, since the Americans are the ones who know how those systems work. No, if push comes to shove with Turkey wanted in becoming an Islamic Ottoman style aggressor in the region, Turkey will become a "turkey shoot" with the Americans and the rest of NATO. With Turkey's own internal problems with it's own people, the country will fall apart faster than you can imagine.!

Not only that, but the US can make 3/4 of Turkey's arsenal obsolete with a few mouse clicks. GPS can have Selective Availability with in built errors which the US controls.

The possibilities for the US is endless on how to manipulate all the systems they have sold to Turkey.

Turkey's "smart bombs" will become dumber than YFred and DTA both put together, if at all that's possible.!

Obama had already told the Turkish Parliament last year in Ankara, that he understands Turkey's concern of others in wanting to break Turkey up.

Does he understands ever.! I'm sure the CIA has the Blueprints already.!

Fuck you Miltiades.

You hypocrisy is on show, again, since time and time again you have supported the total annihilation of Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan and North Korea, and yet when it comes to Turkey, which occupies Cyprus, you promote peace and stability.

Sorry Miltiades! If the US decides to annihilate Turkey and liberate Cyprus, I will personally raise the US Flag over my house and I will never pull it down! I will have a Souvla Party as well! :D

Don't take any notice of our Kickapoo, he gets like that, on account that where he was held by the GC in 63 and the floor was not in a too bad condition. He was well impressed with it and all that.

As to his level of intelegence, I cannot possibly comment, it would be unfair to the lower scales of measurement. We would have to use Nano-Technology microscopes to find his brain cell.

This is the second time you have made the above statement. I ignored the first one, thinking that you are just an immature moron who does not know any common decency by not involving CF members family members in such a tasteless and crude fashion into any of the topics that does not involve them, as is the unwritten rule here on the forum, but obviously I had given you too much credit that you were just an immature moron. No, it seems like you lack any common decency what so ever and that you are nothing but a unrefined, rough round the edges kind of a peasant who thinks when you lose all arguments, you can resort to insulting members family members in such bad taste. You have demonstrated that I was correct about you all along that you nothing but an IDIOT as well as having that special "quality" in you as being a real CUNT that you are. Rest assured, you will be treated with such contempt from here on, even though your above statement does not effect me in anyway personally, but says volumes about your disgusting character.!

Have a nice day, Moron.!

DTA, I believe you owe Kikapu an apology.

We have one unwritten golden rule on this forum, and that is to not involve other member's family in any posts, let alone vindictive, and personal slurs such as your post above. It only goes to show how immature you are, and if you are a man, you will apologize immediately!
