Shouldn’t you be concentrating more on worthwhile news such as…
1. Turkey refusing to allow strikes from her soil/air.
2. The US hell bent on getting air superiority over Syria but doesn’t seem to care as much about Iraq.
Etc, etc…
Massive police raids across Australia have uncovered terrorist cells and arrested Al Nusra and ISIL terrorists and a money trail. 5 arrests with more expected. Security levels set to rise to high, which means a terrorist attack is highly likely.
Air Strikes have just been approved in Syria as well. The have the Air Superiority over Iraq as we speak.
Ground Troops will be deployed as well, but thus far only a very small amount of Australian SAS. The US Army will be sending in non combat troops to assist with training the Iraqi Security Forces. Maybe the Brits might deploy their SAS along side the Australian Troops. Not sure if any other countries will, but the coalition seems very eager to not be drawn into a large scale ground operation.
Australian F-18F Hornets will be deployed for Air Strikes in Syria as well, and they don't need Turkey when they got the support of Cyprus and can operate from Akrotiri or the Emirates.
But it is good that Turkey has refused. It strengthens the Israeli and Greek argument that Turkey is not to be trusted and is a big backer of IS terrorism.
It's all falling into place, so it's time to say bye bye to ISIL.
