You can be naive or just plain old stupid Milti. Amounts to the same in the end. At the recent D day remembrance, Putin told Obama that if he wants Russia to stop meddling in Ukraine then the yanks should stop meddling in Syria and Iraq. You work it out.......if you can.

A young woman recently stoned to death in Somalia first pleaded for her life, a witness has told the BBC.

"Don't kill me, don't kill me," she said, according to the man who wanted to remain anonymous. A few minutes later, more than 50 men threw stones.

Human rights group Amnesty International says the victim was a 13-year-old girl who had been raped.

Initial reports had said she was a 23-year-old woman who had confessed to adultery before a Sharia court.

Numerous eye-witnesses say she was forced into a hole, buried up to her neck then pelted with stones until she died in front of more than 1,000 people last week.

According to media reports her uncle, cousins and other relatives threw stones and bricks at her until she died. She was buried without informing anyone. Police registered a First Information Report (FIR) against the Panchayat but no one has been arrested. She was buried in a desert far away from her village and nobody (not even her children) was allowed to participate in the funeral. Her husband is unknown."

Just my take, but I think fanatic, extreme Islamism is slowly burning itself out. It is a blind alley that can lead nowhere. It is not a pretty sight, but the worse it gets the closer the end is in sight. The Arab spring, even if for the time being it appears to have been defeated, was a harbinger of better, more progressive trends to come in the Islamic world.
