I was wondering what other Greeks thought of this theory I have come up with, wherever Turks went in the Greek World, be it Minor Asia, Cyprus, e.t.c. They always destroyed remnents of Greek Civilization and put in it's places ugly manifestations of extreme Turkish Nationalism. Even if it is trivial things, they always destroyed it and put some extreme Turkish Nationalist statue or something else, the same goes for destroying churches and putting mosques in their place. My theory is that this boils down to a deep seated inferiority complex concerning Greek Culture and History and the desire to eliminate it from Minor Asia and Cyprus because it reminds Turks of who built up the cities, who were the great mathematicians, scientists, inventors e.t.c.
What do you think?
