I had a look at the various posts here and I think the problem lies in the fact that far too many people are linking God with man-made interpretations thereof, such as:

1. Places of worship (churches, mosques, temples, etc)

2. Pagan rituals (religious ceremonies for birth, marriage, death, Easter, Xmas, etc)

3. Denominations (disagreements in the interpretation of God and formation of rivalries)

4. The Bible itself which was written by humans and it is alleged that it’s the word of God!

5. The notion of “religion” itself and how it is used to control the masses by offering a reward (inheritance to a wonderful kingdom of God) if you’re a follower or punishment if not (eternal hell).

And many more man-made flawed “aspects of God” which we (Dawkins included) foolishly use to condemn God! But it’s when you start to differentiate between God and all the man-made things allegedly pertaining to God, that we start to see a clearer picture!

Are we able to contemplate God without the use of all the man-made influences that cloud our perception?

Can we overcome millenniums of phenomenal bias bombarding our minds from religious sources?

Are we able to describe God in a little précis without making reference to anything terrestrial?

Dawkins does not condemn "God". He challenges his existence since there is not even one shred of evidence. He debunks Man's creationism and Intelligent Design, and he uses Scientific facts to do so.

You need to accept this!

It also seems you are now relenting! Good for you. I knew you would eventually come around. You see, Dawkins challenges the very foundations of ALL man made false religions. What he does not do, is challenge natures laws on earth and the universe. Neither does Dawrin. They are both awe struck by it, and are/were their most humble servants!

GR , I'm almost 64 , death worries me NOT. I have been succesfull in having my children and grandchildren to carry me in their genes and live for ever in their children , grandchildren and beyond just as my mother is still alive in them and so is my wife ! Death is normal , God is abnormal !
