Want to talk about solution? We have to take that flag down... which already does not represent us...

I agree, but it is not that easy. When an elephant is in your front yard, you can't just go out and shoo it away, it will squash you. I do believe that it is in the terms of the agreement and that not only the Troops will be removed but also the flags and even some settlers.

I never thought it will be easy, especially against a military obsessed country with lots of economic value, which can be very profitable for EU countries under the "right" conditions, which they seek for. However, what we allways forget is that the same circumstances led us to these consequences, not personal hatred or national identities.

How right you are Vuryek . Circumstances such as our enforced devotion to the two foreign countries that predetermined the course of our mutual islands journey. Lets hope that our people , just as I , you and many many more will realize that the motherland is right here our birth country
our Cyprus.

No Milti, it was the big bad bear America who was dictating cyprus policy from the moment Makarios deviated from the original plan to one where he was moving away from them. Thats when the coup became a necesity for them to achive the end result they got today.

The coup and the invasion of the Cyprus are nothing when compared with junta movements in mediterranean countries. Cyprus is a very small part of the main story, however neither Makarios nor another man can change or dare to change the direction of the plans easily. Today's situation is not a result of an individual mans ideas, but an exactly working process of a great profit focused idea.
