Is there any trees with red or white leafs all year round? I hope you are not suggesting we have a seasonal flag.

...what you are saying is that you prefer a barren land, for a flag shiny like and new. stones painted red and white over trees, that's a selfish motive it seems to me, if you love this island.

What did you people expect as I said before TCs will only remove this flag if we find a solution that will help remove the mistakes of the past otherwise you can stare at it as a reminder of your own action and why we will stay divided.

So can we take it VP that in the light of Talat's offer to take the Pac-man/woman down you won't be "voting" to "re-elect" Mr Talat?

Has Talat promised to take it down even if a solution is not reached then?

Oh no, no, no, if we take the statement and the OP at face value it looks like def conditional on settlement offer.

Talat can't promise to tie his own shoe lace without permission. Of course he can't promise to clean up the mountain.

Just as well, because if you supported its removal now - as a unilateral goodwill gesture in support of the peace process - Turkey would not sanction it.
