I don't say that all Apoel fans are responsible but I really don't understand how xenophobic they are. They are the most racist group in Europe...for sure...Can anyone have a suggestions how both communities avoid such actions? How we prevent this tension?

That is a racist remark, Tommy27.

BTW, what were the TCs doing at an Apoel-Omonoia game?

I fail to see what is racist about Tommy27's post but I see plenty in yours. What has race got to do with footbal. Whay shouldn't a TC go to a GC team game?
You obviously do not follow football or understand it. You may be in the Norman Tebbit schol of thought regarding sport.

The racist nature of Tommy27's comment was aptly explained earlier in this thread.

Would you care to point out where in my post you see anyrthing racist?

I did not say that a TC shouldn't go to a GC team game, that was your interpretation of my post.

I condemn football hooliganism, whether it has racist undertones or not. I also condemn any attempts to exploit incidents of hooliganism to score propaganda points, whether they be TC-bashing or GC-bashing. Especially when closely followed by "naive" questions like "what does football have to do with politics". Now do you understand?

"BTW, what were the TCs doing at an Apoel-Omonoia game?" is what you said. If thats not racist what is?
The answer is very simple really. To watch a game of football, that is assuming that they can play football which I very seriously doubt on account that DT supports one of them and he knows nothin about football.
You responded to Tommy post and accused him of racism but did not mention that the racist comment was in a previous post. As I couldn't see anything racist in his post but I could in yours, I thought I would put my two pennys worth in.
Never mind forget it

Tim said:

"The strange thing is that all over the world this sort of crowd violence goes hand in hand with football."

And it will go on until there is a minister with the Cojones to ban football for the remainder of the season at the first sign of crowd violence.

The green minded schweinerei of the world who are quick to calculate the carbon footprint of a cow farting shy away from calculating the huge carbon bootprint of the average football match. Which illustrates the political influence involved in this activity. So ban it for a few weeks at first and then totally if things do not improve.

Also it would help if sports reports in the media would be limited to less than half their time or column inches to football and be obliged to devote the rest to other sports. The average sports programme is a travesty these days, it is all football, yet football is definitely NOT a sport.

Boomerang,
The idiocy is in your complete mis-interpretation of my post. I did not say that the right to go to a sporting event should be denied to anyone. Try reading my post again.

Please explain to us the meaning of "BTW, what were the TCs doing at an Apoel-Omonoia game?", to us less educated morsels. And please make it interesting otherwise we stand in a serious danger of falling asleep while reading your post, get my drift; you ought to living on an island.

Can it mean anything other than they had no place going to a GC game?

Was the spelling ok for this one?

I hope you realise that if by any slim chance I should kill myself you would be done for murder. But than again it's in your genes, isn't it old chap. Now be good father and do explain to your little one how important eoka was to the struggle. Otherwise how else are we going to keep this problem going?
Now run along, your medication is ready.
