Bye-bye Ottomans...
Next time STAY PUT in your own country where you belong!
You’d think 440 years of incompatibility would tell the fools something…
I think you mean Bye Bye Varosha and the rest of the 37.5 %.
I think you mean GOODBYE INDEPENdenCE?
As well.
Damn it, out of sight out of mind. I forgot how to spell 'INDEPENDENCE'. What shall we do about it Yfred? I am talking about Cyprus being Independent, not my frame of mind
Well that rather depends on the TC population and what they wish, I will go along with their democratic vote.
Are you going along this 'democratic vote' after the northern population has been sifted all the way through. These democratic elections should include all title holders of land and property. Now that would be democratic. Not after sifting the GCs out.
Deniz, last time only land owners voted was in UK before 1900. Do you really wish to introduce Victorian politics to Cyprus. Anybody living in TRNC are entitled to vote, how ever they got there. The GC rules about entitlement does not apply and if they continue with that mentality, it will never apply.
Above you said, 'TC population', now you are saying 'anybody living in the.......'. Which is it. Do the carpet baggers also vote? What about the enclaved Greek Cypriots in Karpasia?
If Karpasians pay tax to the TRNC they should be allowed if not no. Everybody else should be the same as any other country. Residents and passport holders can vote.
What passport holders?
Here is alink of those who dies up to 1974. The list is imperfect as it contains names that did not die violently at the hands of GCs. A few were bomb makers and died in 1958. The list does not give the place where they died and under what circumstances. A previous list, which was discussed last year, is no longer available on the net. It contained more detail (a few inaccuracies as well).
This one is nearly useful.
