Merkel instructs Turkey ...

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Merkel instructs Turkey ...

My Summary of Merkel's visit to Turkey!

Turkey must recognise Cyprus by allowing its ships and planes access.

No to Turkish-language schools in Germany; Turks must integrate.

Privileged partnership only possibility for Turkey within EU.

The truth why the EU is frozen to Turkey:

Question set to Stefan Fule [EU Commissioner for Enlargement]

Q. To an outside observer it appears that EU accession talks with Turkey have been put on the backburner compared to a few years ago. Is that an accurate impression?

Stefan Fule: I don't fully agree with that picture. The truth is that the engine of that process of negotiations are reforms in Turkey by the Turkish government, by the Turkish parliament on one side. On the other side, the truth is because of the Cyprus issue and related issues like non-compliance with the Ankara agreement, the area of manoeuvrability as far as the number of the chapters to be opened and discussed in this case, is probably smaller than it is in the case of other candidate countries.

 Did you see what Bagis said?

"Such a thing as privileged partnership does not exist," said Egemen Bagis, Turkey's minister for European affairs.
"So we do not take that option seriously because there is no legal foundation of it. At times I feel insulted for being offered something which does not exist."

Interesting comment on Turkish schools in Germany:

"Erdogan needs a first-class public relations adviser", says Cengiz Aktar (political commentator).

"What he proposes about schools is rubbish. Are we trying to create a second Turkey inside Germany? Do we want ghettos? Who would choose to send their children to such a school?"

No, the 'second Turkey' ghetto has already been created - in occupied Cyprus. What they're trying to do is create a 'third Turkey' ghetto, in Germany.

Big question: Why the little guys in Greece allow Turkish books in the Greek territory ? (Thrace)- reason ? they are just "little boys"????

No Epsilon, In the eu other nationalities are respected. If these people in Trakya are only muslims and not Turks, why is Greece supplying them with Turkish Books?
