The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus has won first place at the Voievod Taekwondo Championship in Moldova. The TRNC sportspersons won 10 gold and 2 silver medals in senior men’s category.

More than 550 sports persons from 14 countries took part in the European Voievod Championship held in Moldova at the week-end.

Well Halil,you better have a word with them because all I see is the word Cyprus and the Republic of Cyprus flag next to the TC athlete...no mention of the trnc

I noticed that also looks like we have a diverse Taekwondo Team since there was no TRNC listed.

Doesn't it seem quite clear that, whatever flags were being waved, the ATHLETES came from Northern Cyprus? Since when was the North, or the 'TRNC' not part of Cyprus?

Or has it already been hived off unbeknowns to me?

It was an unofficial sports event (like the fifi soccer tournament).
