How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

BKP AND AKEL’S DINNER EVENT

Postby halil » Sat Mar 27, 2010 6:56 pm

A bi-communal solidarity event was organzied by the TRNC-based United Cyprus Party (BKP) and the Greek Cypriot Progressive Party of Working People (AKEL) in Nicosia last night.
The dinner was attended by party representatives, party supporters and members from the civil society organizations.
Speaking at the event, BKP Secretary-General Izzet Izcan stressed the need for the reunification of Cyprus under the principle of political equality.

He also referred to the bi-communal and bi-zonal structure to be established with an agreement and expressed support to the ongoing negotiations process within this framework.
Izcan called for an urgent settlement on the island.
Also speaking, AKEL representative Fanis Hristodulu shared the same view with Izcan on the basis of an agreement and said substantial proposals are needed on the negotiatons table in order to achieve further progress.
He added that the Greek Cypriot Leader Dimitris Christofias and AKEL are determined to help creating all possible conditions for the solution of the Cyprus problem.
