It’s not going to happen because its technically impossible and not to mention that there’s nothing to trade there.

I'd happily take you up on the bet, except for the date. I'm not sure anything can be done that quickly. What this does show is that the tide of EU opinion is turning.

It is only turning in your head ;) The article posted by Halil says:
"Debates on the regulation will be held at the meeting of the committee scheduled to take place in Strasbourg on the 19th of April.
If approved by the European Parliament, the report will be put to the endorsement of the EU Council. "

So 19th of April we will know if it will be approved by the European Parliament and if it does then we will very soon know if it will pass from the EU council. So do you have the balls to put the bet or not? ;)

OK Sotos, if we are up for a bet, let's make sure we have the parameters better defined.
The current EU voting process will apply up until 31 Oct 2014.
Let's assume EU processes takes a while to come about, say 1-2 years.
I will take a bet on direct trade with/without GC constent between the North and some or all EU member states by 31 Oct 2016.
Assuming an agreement before then all bets are off (wouldn't want to win on a technicality).
How much you will wager and what method of guarantee do you suggest to ensure the bet is honoured.

When he is allowed out of his cage after the next feeding time, he will let you know, in the mean time don't hold your breath.

Really depends on what you call "very soon."

The wage is up there in my first post "The one who loses the bet should start a thread admitting that he is an idiot." You registered to this forum less than a year ago and we are supposed to believe that you will be here after 6 years. Halil's post made it sound as if you won something and direct trade was about to start. It seems that what you have now is nothing new. Just the same dream. By 2016 many things can happen. Maybe you will accept our proposal about Famagusta or maybe the Cyprus problem will be solved. But if you give nothing you will take nothing.

What has changed in the EU is the single country being able to hold it to ransom. Look at it any way you like. Cyprus will not be able to block any decisions eu takes on TCs. Got it.

So sounds like Sotos doesn't believe the gcs can hold onto the isolation indefinately - sounds rather whiny.
Idiot cannot even understand that specifically because I could't trust someone as insincere in his posts that we should require a method of ensuring the other side pays up - like number of years posting would make a more reliable gambler..... the fool
