DIRECT TRADE REGULATION

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Please provide some firm evidence to back up your claims, as the ill-informed opinions of a wishful thinker like you are of no consequence whatsoever.

saurkraut wrote:To many times have you hidden behind the strength of the EU and used their rules to bully the TRNC and now it is over and the message is clear get this sorted ROC or we will do it for you. Grow up shake hands and accept you are never going to dominate the TC's and the people of the North again.

Nearly 200,000 human beings, ie. the vast majority of the legitimate people of the North, were chased out of their homes in fear of their lives by an invading foreign army, which has dominated the area ever since.

saurkraut wrote:I told you before and i will say it again "you had your chance and blew it!!!" live with it.

Keep saying it, again and again and again. But don't ever think anyone with an ounce of dignity or intelligence will pay the slightest bit of notice to anything an insensitive, insulting outsider like you has to offer. Now get back to your cheap Efes.

We're saved!!!! :D

Maybe now is the time to get serious and reach out to GCs. Do what their government never could...

We definitely shouldn't use this in a negative way. Now that they're levelling out the playing field use this opportunity to find a solution and unite the people!

The worst thing we could do is use this to isolate ourselves from the rest of the country. We need to work together. Someones going to have to be the bigger man, and it certainly aint gonna be the RoC!

Finally!!! A ray of hope for TCs, and hopefully for GCs too.... :)

Come gather 'round people wherever you roam
and admit that the waters around you have grown
and accept it that soon you'll be drenched to the bone
if your time to you is worth savin'
then you better start swimmin' or you'll sink like a stone,
for the times, they are a chang - in'

The line it is drawn the curse it is cast
the slow one now will later be fast
as the present now will later be past
the order is rapidly fadin'
and the first one now will later be last
for the times they are a-changin'

Who wants a bet that no such thing will not pass from EU? The issue will just be shelved again. The one who loses the bet should start a thread admitting that he is an idiot. Lets put June 1st as the date to come back to this thread. If by then EU approves such thing you win, if it doesn't then I win. Who has the balls to take this bet?

I said on this Forum a while back that IF the Lisbon treaty was ratified by all members (Ireland was holding out at the time) that it would only need a majority vote to pass rulings etc and Cyprus would find it would lose its power of Veto
I think at the time i was accused of talking rubbish (not the words used)
But it appears that is exactly what has happened - if confirmed.

I'd happily take you up on the bet, except for the date. I'm not sure anything can be done that quickly. What this does show is that the tide of EU opinion is turning.

Does every subject for debate have to sink to a slanging match ?

The Cyprus Problem wont be solved on or by this forum.

How about just debating the topic ?

Wouldn't that be great? Alas there are those who, if any word they do not wish to either believe or even see is posted, they immediately resort to abuse. Not clever stuff - usually just a 'fuckoff' comment.

Am I the only one sickened by the foreign property speculators cheering on my ethnic cleansing. The only thing that should be directed to them is some Napalm. May everyone one of them burn to a crisp.
