WE ARE ALL THE SAME !

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

It is our mediterranean personalities that prefer to enjoy life, share a pleasant time, drink a little wine and good food. We are for the most part generous and sociable.

HOWEVER!
I simply have to look at the majority of posts by most GC bloggers to to see the animosity. Perhaps Palio is the ost balanced, but everyone else is soooo one sided in their argument. Not one GC has said the embargoes are unjust despite they only affecting one side.
This is a path that differentiates us and causes ill feeling. NOTHING whatsoever has been put forward by any GC blobber to show empathy to our suffering. I know the idiots out there will say yes but you have our land... etc. etc. etc. but you KNOW the suffering has been two sided.
The suffering GCs cause TCs by their constant lobbying, slandering and isolation, brothers do that to brothers when hate and bitterness has taken the place of love. So as it stands, if we are brothers, then we are not genuine brothers.

Unfortunately I don't feel the slightest level of sincerity by those that want to perpetuate this thread.

Lifting the embargoes will mean acceptance of the Turkish army occupying the northern part of Cyprus , it will mean recognition which to most G/Cs is anathema , the displaced G/Cs , 160 thousand plus , whose properties are being usurped and sold to foreigners , it will also mean the end of the road leading to unification. You must also show empathy to the G/Cs who as a result of extremist actions and the ensuing Turkish invasion which caused the death of more than 5000 G/Cs have had to abandon their ancestral homes , their villages and towns which with precisionary vigour have now been obliterated by the removal of their original names. It can not be a one sided compromise. The northern part of Cyprus is under the occupation of a foreign country , this is how the entire international community sees it and most certainly this is how moderates such as my self and Africa newspaper see it too.
What you are basicaly promoting is that the occupied part must be accepted as a separate state , contrary to EU and UN pronouncements .

Actually yes I do get on with Greece Greeks very well.I lived with them for a year and it is unbeliavable how similar we are. :!:

If I was a Greece Greek I'd be really concerned and embarrassed by this particular Turkey Turk's admission.

What he said makes perfect sense to me… it is with Cyprus that both Greeks and Turks are incompatible.

Yes we have our differences but we never make it a big deal. Thank God Cyprus is at the very bottom of our list.

If you believe that the intelligent designer created time itself, then it renders your next logical question "Who designed the intelligent designer" rather illogical.

'Create' means bring into existence something which did not exist before. There was a time when something which was created did not exist. In order to be able to 'create time', there would have to have been a time when time did exist. This is a contradiction, so the proposition is false. Time cannot have been created.

That was the conventional wisdom in the classical Newtonian Universe, but not in the modern Einstein model of the universe where relativity is a factor.

My argument is rooted in semantics and an analysis of the meaning of the word 'create', and has nothing at all to do with physics, so models of the universe are irrelevant.

Greek mainland and Turkish mainland get on much better as there is respect between them derived from their mutual benefit. Greek mainland and Turkish mainland are not part of the same government. Their govts. respectively promote issues that are important for their populous. This is vastly different than saying they live well together under the same govt.
Neither country would permit or feel it viable to compromise their governance of issues that can impeed their cultural norms. Over time, as the norms become more syncronised and outlooks on the whole are similar between bodies/countries etc. then governance can be funged at verious levels. Look at the EU, this project is over 50 years old. TCs and GCs have been fighting for 50 years.

I am reading the post on the APOEL story of violence, yet no-one is taking responsibility for their actions, only that it is football hooliganism.
Hate is perpetuated by many of the bloggers on this site and its effects are clearly visible. It is what the intellectuals would do, fire up the rabble to fight their battles for them.
