WE ARE ALL THE SAME !

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

It is a fact that in Cyprus the conflict is the most prickly and contentious, distrusting and malicious.
There is an acceptance of identity, clarity. Look at the journey both sides have made to the point where they are at - they are 2 different journeys, that is what makes them different.
It does not mean they cannot live in peace and harmony but they must accept each other for who they are first before they can move on.

There is no reason why all of us can not just get on together. Deniz and I have met many times socially , shared many a chat , I have also met Mr -From-Ng , met Halil quite a few times in fact he was the first human on this planet to congratulate me and shake my hand two years ago when my grand son was born. Iceman I have also met more than once , twice to be precise , Kikapu also a few times , Birkibrisly I have not as yet met but he knows that I have a lot of respect for him , a reason why a couple of years back I paid a visit to Istinjo , his birthplace a few miles away from my village of birth. Umit 07 also I have not met but both he and I have a mutual respect for each other , Young man with a big heart , couldn't care less if he was an Abyssinian Cypriot he would still be my Cypriot brother.
I have met a wonderful T/C lady too whom I respect and admire greatly , Halil would know the one that I'm referring too .
So my friend , you are right we can all get on just as long as we dont have any divisive baggage to carry.

Are you addressing me, Asslick? I don't recognise two mainlands, for one island. But in any event I know these two particular Greeks and Turks get along well. I'm just suggesting they get a room and leave the forum to Cypriots.

Not sure about yours but the Cypriot journey started 9,000 years ago and has been real bumpy, especially since you were given a drivers licence on the island. Feel free to come along for the ride when you're ready, and perhaps we can take a more peaceful, scenic route from now on.

Mili I totally agree that they can get along, however the evidence off this forum is one of hatred and win-lose attitutde.
It is our mediterranean personalities that prefer to enjoy life, share a pleasant time, drink a little wine and good food. We are for the most part generous and sociable.

HOWEVER!
I simply have to look at the majority of posts by most GC bloggers to to see the animosity. Perhaps Palio is the ost balanced, but everyone else is soooo one sided in their argument. Not one GC has said the embargoes are unjust despite they only affecting one side.
This is a path that differentiates us and causes ill feeling. NOTHING whatsoever has been put forward by any GC blobber to show empathy to our suffering. I know the idiots out there will say yes but you have our land... etc. etc. etc. but you KNOW the suffering has been two sided.
The suffering GCs cause TCs by their constant lobbying, slandering and isolation, brothers do that to brothers when hate and bitterness has taken the place of love. So as it stands, if we are brothers, then we are not genuine brothers.

Unfortunately I don't feel the slightest level of sincerity by those that want to perpetuate this thread.

Not sure which Cypriot you're on about milti, as I am acquainted with a fair few. But I will pass on your regards to those worthy.

If I was a Greece Greek I'd be really concerned and embarrassed by this particular Turkey Turk's admission.

What he said makes perfect sense to me… it is with Cyprus that both Greeks and Turks are incompatible.

Bananiot wrote:Your still towing ELAM's line on this DT, shame on you. There are no illegal people! The few that arrive in Cyprus without proper papers are desperate people trying to make a living. They deserve our sympathy and empathy. They have rights too and in the civilised world these rights have been recognised. So at least be quite on this one.

Are you kidding me? Every nation in the world is wrong on this one and you're right?

There are laws my hippy friend and should your flexibility be extended to 10,000 and then to 100,000 and then to 10,000,000 of these poor souls then I assure you your salary won't be enough for the tax you need to be paying to house these individuals in ghetto's, hotels, tents and any other structures with roof's on them we can find.

Where do you draw the line Bananiot? At 10, 100, or 10 million? Whats YOUR rule?

I suggets you think this through and till then YOU be quiet about this one.
