Bible Search for Greeks on or anywhere near Cyprus!

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Sorry. No results found for "Cypriots of Cyprus" in Keyword Search.

Also ZERO results for any mention of "Cypriots".

So Cypriots did not exist from Cyprus or anywhere else! Is that what you would conclude from such searches?

But plenty of references for "Greeks"; and how Greeks are spread everywhere!

How peculiar that this post has escaped a response from GR!...

Perhaps they were referred to as something else like “Cyprian”…

Here it is... in the original Koine....

Acts 4: 36

The word of God has spoken throughout the years 1400BC and 300 AD that Cypriots and Greeks were two distinct people! In fact there’s not a single association between them!

What language did the Cyprians speak? How did Barnabas speak to them?

Acts 4:36 (King James Version)

36And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus,

In fact, there’s not a single mention of ANY Greek person on Cyprus!

This “Greek Cypriot” label rubbish has to be dropped altogether!

Henceforth use “Cypriot” or “Christian Cypriot”.

Regards, GR.

Thank you God! :)

Replace "Cyprus" with "Athens" and "Cypriot" with "Athenian" and the result is still 0.

The bible was not written to describe Greeks or Cyprus and it therefore totally irrelevant.

Oracle/Epiktitos

For the benefit of our English-speaking friends, please can you translate this word from the New Testament as it was orginally written: Κύπριος

If it's brought my friend Piratis out of the woodwork then it must be serious!

That's in the dative (τῷ) so it translates as the birth of the Levite was to the Cyprus. It's not saying he is Cypriot!
