Thanks for your good luck wishes.

You are welcome to join, but if your going to peddle your Greek this and Greek that, just be weary that we take Cypriot nation building very seriously and don't appreciate anyone undermining it. Our existence as an independent nation without Turkey's shadow hanging over our heads depends on this. It's about time you realised this.

There comes a time when even Cypriots will mature, just like the Americans, Kiwis, Canadians and Aussies have!

Have you considered starting a forum in Greek for, you know, those Cypriots that stayed in Cyprus?

Don't they need to know?

At least you understand the task you've taken up is nation building

However, I'm afraid those insignificant peasants won't be too eager to replace Greek Independence Day with ANZAC Day

You mean in the alphabet we developed.

It should be called Cypriot, not Greek!

At least you understand the task you've taken up is nation building

Every Cypriot's duty to to contribute something, no matter how big or small.

However, I'm afraid those insignificant peasants won't be too eager to replace Greek Independence Day with ANZAC Day

Why would Cypriots commemorate ANZAC Day? Cypriots are not Australians! Cypriots are Cypriots and should be commemorating their own independence day, when this is achieved.

But I do admit that Cypriots would be better off commemorating ANZAC Day, and ditching Greece as their "mother" and have Australia fulfill that role instead.

You see, Australia has never been a disaster for Cyprus, but Greece certainly has!

Sure, go and become the bitch of whoever gives you more. Cypriots are Greeks, not because Greece has helped Cyprus or not, but because that's just who they are.

Learn the language and go ask them if you don't believe me
