we celebrate it a week later.. ;) well my family does and the church in my village does ... everyone i know in nicosia does a week later also

But Greek Orthodox and 'western' (catholic, protestant) easters fall at the same time this year, not that it matters when anyone chooses to celebrate anything imo just go for it, could you explain if there is a reason why its done a week later where you live, are they just waiting for you to come back from hols :wink:

I am confused! Do you mean you always celebrate it a week later than the 'English Easter'? Or do you mean you always celebrate it a week later than whatever date it falls on in Cyprus?

This year Easter is on the same date for all Christian denominations .

no usually the date is one week later then the english easter

Erm usually yes, but this year and next no, surely the church will keep to the actual dates? How can they do it a week later if it is,nt :? :? I,m confused now.

Anyway all the eggs and chickens and the scarey rabbits have been put up all over, so someone thinks its Easter soon :wink:
