but when the turkish said the turks who died was a kind of genocide.. do you think that was accurate? millions of armenians die thats war does not count? and yet a few hundred also die in the cyprus war and its genocide against the turks? if they described a few turks dying as a kind of genocide you can understand its hard to believe the amount of death caused by gcs to tcs ... thats what i meant.. not all will do so but some one definatly has and some people will exadurate a lot and others not..

I know what you mean by the exagerations Palio. Its political gamesmanship. It happens all the time. Some are better at it than others. I have pointed out exagerations before; like the number of TC's killed since 'the troubles' began. I think the date given in a list I used was 1956. Included in the list were young men killed during the moaking of bombs and a few who were simply ill and one who died in a car accident. Unscrupulous people will do anything to inflate the numbers for 'effect'. his is wrong. No doubt the other side also is guilty of this, but I will put 'my own house in order' and leave decent GCs do do their bit.

Let's look at some evidence.

There is, just over, half an island where some Cypriots live, of no particular ethnic extraction. Just Cypriot Nationals who can easily adopt another Nationality, as needs be -- nothing to give up that hasn't already been given up.

Then, in the remaining, almost, half of the island we have a load of TCs and Turks who are very proud to be called ethnically Turkish, and will fight to the death (mostly the death of 'Greek' Cypriots) in order to retain their Turkish ethnic identity (such as it is).

Ethnic cleansing? No such thing!

There is NO ethnic identity, in over half the island, which to cleanse! There are merely some Cypriot Nationals! If they just convert to being Turkish Nationals (easy, nothing but a label to modify), then the Cyprus Problem is solved.

The Ottomans began the erosion of the Greek identity of the majority of the islanders, and the Turks (Uber-Ottomans) have finished it off!

You make a wrong forcast AND THEY DO A WRONG FORCAST.

Greeks of Cyprus did not came-they are just the habitans of the Island-Turks and T/cs and all other mouses were just entering from the back door and they will finally depart from the ..back door.
