Why is Yialousa's thread locked? Lovers spat, perhaps?

Feel free to talk about anything that you want.

I'd rather follow someone like Yialousa over the cliff against the Turks than lie down and be raped like Paphitis!

There is nothing to be gained by throwing away what the Turks fear most about us ... our long historical links to the island which undeniably, inexorably are interlinked with Hellenism!

Yes we are independent, and no one (not even Yialousa) has ever denied that or wanted to reverse it, but the total elimination of our identity is just not something I can stomach.

Pity yourself because Yialousa started a thread with a title (succinct due to space limitations) and the rest of us embarked on exchanging information to define his proposal. There was no way of knowing which way the thread was going to go and what benefits we may have derived from discussing Hellenic Pride and Cyprus being Greek (something many of our leaders recognise as true in many respects; language, religion, ethnicity of the majority, to name but a few).

And make no mistake about it, once the island is Turkified over time, there will be no turning back.

It's turkified already if people are denying its cultural, historical and demographic realities.

What a shame that such an "academic" thread, by your standards, was locked by the forum moderator! 8)

What a shame that you are so brainwashed by the pro-Turkish lobby that you are happy to see threads, such as the few examples below, all over the forum, yet deny access to a General Chat thread based on musical, historical and Classical legacies:

Just from the last few weeks:

Halil: TRNC REPRESENTATIVE OFFICE IN SWEDEN
http://www.cyprus-forum.com/viewtopic.php?t=28928

Halil: TRNC PARLIAMENT TO CONVENE AN EXTRAORDINARY SESSION
http://www.cyprus-forum.com/viewtopic.php?t=28772

Halil: TURKEY’S GUARANTEE IS VITALLY IMPORTANT
http://www.cyprus-forum.com/viewtopic.php?t=28792

Tim Drayton: Title Deeds for Turkish Property in the South
http://www.cyprus-forum.com/viewtopic.php?t=28664

Paphitis: Should Greece have bases in Cyprus?
http://www.cyprus-forum.com/viewtopic.php?t=28451

Aussiturk: The Land and those that build on it - Turkish Land
http://www.cyprus-forum.com/viewtopic.php?t=28365

So, you accept the use of TRNC or Turkish Land or proposals for Greek bases on Cyprus and yet you endorse the locking of Yialousa's thread.

You do not have a sound case, Paphitis, and so you continually trip over your own ever-changing "beliefs".

As one of the oldest and ...wisest as well as one of the most attractive men on this forum , apart from GR  , I hereby demand that the thread in question is unlocked ! Immediately before I ..fall asleep.

I'm sorry GR! But who stands to gain by us becoming isolated? Denying links to other EU allies? Nobody but the Turks! So why go along with it?

In my mind, there is only one enemy. The Turks. Greeks, whatever the past, are presently our EU allies. What can you possibly gain by removing this strong ally from our front?

It’s just your bad luck that one of your parents is Greek and thus ethnically confused. Most of the rest of us don’t have that problem and you should respect it!

That's impossible! It’s either erroneous or propaganda crap! Just ignore it and accept your bastardized fate.

Yup, Cypriots are 100% the same as the Greeks going back to the stone age. Except, none of them were called Greeks or Cypriots then. Just Humans.

The Cypriot Nationality is a recent invention to decide who legally should reside in Cyprus. That is not up for question. Ethnicity is separable. You are lacking if you do not have one.
