Good. Why don't you start a new thread asking your fellow TCs and GCs to comment or support your idea about removing the US base on the north?

You are right. By typing a few words in CF will not convince the Brits to move out. We need to take more drastic measures. I send a couple of emails to CNN and AP, asking them to look into this, might be a good story for them. Awaiting their replies. If a negative report comes up on CNN about the SBAs, it might draw attention to many interesting parties who don't know much about the SBAs status in Cyprus. Who knows... it might work.

I don't think the current talks are dealing with the SBA issue. Even if the solution is found, who will have the guts to deal with the SBA administrator?

The road accidents or garbage is unrelated to this topic.

He could care less about a United Cyprus, road accidents or rubbish as long as his Anglophobia is massaged now and again.

Speaking as a journalist I would say CNN and AP will pay absolutely no attention to your e-mails. However, you are almost certainly guaranteed coverage if you carry out an armed attack on the bases and are perhaps shot in response. You were talking about "drastic measures" after all.

Now that would make the news, but I'm not sure it would get your "cause" anywhere.

Hey guys,

Thanks for your overwhelming support. Just sit back on your rocking chairs, smoke a nargile and... hopefully the Brits will move out. This is the best way to do this... Wow. Excellent idea. By doing nothing, you achieve a lot...

You prefer to be slaves than free... good luck to you.
