Against whom? The Andorran or the Maltese NG?

Against the mid 70s rubbish Turkey has on the island... ie:

Main Battle Tanks: Patton M48A5 (105mm gun)!

These will be easy pickings for the CNG’s T-80Us which are faster, have a 125mm gun, and can hit the M48 about a kilometer before they can!

In other areas...

Armoured Fighting Vehicles: AIFV (Mid 70s junk)
Armored Personnel Carriers: M113 (Mid 70s junk)

Your vehicles are all outdated rubbish!

GR how are you gong to win without mehmetcik, don't be silly. Never mind all the military hardware, you need some soldiers with heart for a fight. I hope you are not planning top put our Oracle on the front line.

Y-Fronts, I don’t fall for the “Turkish prowess” mythologies because I know you’re full of shit and unless Turkey manages to get some serious supplies on the island I can’t see you lot lasting more than a week.

Cyprus

Cyprus is the first foreign country to officially obtain T-80 tanks. Russia sold 27 T-80U and 14 T-80UK for $174 million to Cyprus in 1996. The tanks arrived in two batches. The first one consisting of 27 T-80U MBTs arrived in 1996 while the second one consisting of 14 T-80UK MBTs arrived in 1997. This significantly reinforced the army of this country the best tank of which up until then was AMX-30B2. New tanks also gave the Cypriot National Guard the edge in a possible confrontation with the Turkish Army in Northern Cyprus.[28][34][35]. Cyprus has ordered an additional batch of 41 used T-80Us and T-80UKs from Russia for €115 million. Deliveries are expected to be finished by the end of 2010

There should be 82 T-80U. The French AMX-30 is also light years ahead of the M48 of which the CNG has 52 AMX-30s and 102 AMX-30B2s!

As far as manpower is concerned, I would not expect some kurdish conscript serving in Cyprus to fight with more zeal than a Cypriot would for his homeland.

Then you know nothing about human nature and the Turkish army, but it is never too late to learn. You will always get a chance, if you wish.
