Denktas: EU Uses Cyprus Question as Pretext Not to Make Turkey Full Member

Friday, 19 March 2010

Former President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Rauf Denktas said on Friday that European Union (EU) used Cyprus question as pretext not to make Turkey a full member.

Addressing a symposium in Canakkale, Denktas explained the strategic position of Cyprus and noted that Greece did everything to possess Cyprus through Greek Cypriots.

Denktas said Greece was trying to expel Turkey from the Island, adding "the United States and the world consider as friend the people who had executed people totally by shooting. The EU accepted those people as legal government of Cyprus. They close their ears to our opposition."

"We desire a two-state solution based on two peoples. It should be a formula in which our borders would not be eliminated," he said.

I agree with you, Palio.

How outrageous!

Two states? Two peoples? Borders? He hasn't changed one little bit from his bomb-planting days in the 50s.

Who in their right mind would accuse Greece of wanting to possess Cyprus in this day and age? They are sister EU states for goodness sakes ...

Why this man has not been thrown in jail is beyond belief ... but then he is a Turk posing as a TC like the other 100,000 of them land stealers!

Gawd, has Rough not kicked the bucket yet? Goes to show the futility, the waste of space, (and in Rough's case it's an awful lot of space) of living past a certain age, the generous of body size b'stard has completely lost it. Nothing he said makes the slightest sense to anyone who isn't a Propagandist, Fascist, Murdering, Conniving, Arms-Smuggling by the dead of night on Karpas Beaches,Terrorist Supporting Fanatic. So he should get a lot of support in Tnucland then.

Still and to look on a very fanciful bright side, would be nice if he lived long enough to have his extraordinarily large bum dragged before a Turkish court over that Erdongun business and wouldn't it be pleasant to at least dream of him at The Hague on War Crimes Charges.

This overt pro-Turkish sell-out speech is probably part of the deal for being allowed his freedom ... Nasty sod!
