The argument of UEFA and countries is clearly flawed, by having exceptions means the rules are not universal rigidly applied and therefore subject to special situations.

We can thank the GCs for TCs not being able to play footnall in Europe - not Turkey. That fact remains intact

Not quite, its your blinkered partitionist agenda that prevents you from seeing the fact that you get to play in your "trnc" kit, representing the "trnc", sing your "trnc" anthem and present the ""trnc" in the international stage.

Sure there are strings attached, and make no mistake, this is a huge compromise on the part of the RoC, but the TC FA is either too stupid to see this or Turkey has prevented them from taking advantage of this opportunity.

Objection! Northern Ireland is occupied according to the Republic of Ireland and yet they have their own football federation.

Check your facts.

The RoI dropped all territorial claims to NI as part of the Belfast (Good Friday) agreement.

But they did exist before the good friday agreement. The reason why they existed was that they were not being controlled by control freak called UK. They were free to join as they wish. How we wish for such a central government, hey?

Well, with all the good intentions of removing the isolations from TCs, and blaming Turkey for it not happening, the only evidence that is available is the GC lobbying of UEFA - your need to maintain dominance over all the people of Cyprus only works towards achieving that purpose. If we cannot agree to a unified Cyprus under your dictatorial terms then why let athletes suffer.
Have them play under an undefined country name then rather than TRNC, because at the end of the day, the south Cyprus govt./people does not represent them.

I don't think you are right there. This is/was the IRA position, not the official position of the Irish government which, in the peacse treaty signed with Britian in December 1921, renounced its claims to the six counties of northern Ireland.

You asked why the RoC wouldn't let you play football and DT proved you wrong.

I can't help feeling that this revelation came as a suprise and shock to you so now you are reduced to spewing the usual TC rhetoric.

So what if, for purely administrative purposes there is a dotted line under the RoC FA to cover the TC FA when the RoC FA would have effectively zero control over the team?

You are politicising the issue - not the RoC or UEFA as DT stated "thems the rules" if you want to play.

It's all about compromise and you should heed the words of unkie YFred - all or nothing will leed to nothing.

Now stop being foolish because at the end of the day it is your players that suffer and you miss the golden opportunity to represent the pseudo state on the international stage and and alleged plight of its inhabitants.
