Now tell me, are you talking about the idiocyncratic definitions of UEFA or the official recognised countries of the UN?

Please enlightend me so I can prove you to be an even bigger fool for pursuing this line of argument.

Why don't they simply play for Turkey and be done with because you are just occupiers here if you are not represented by the RoC!

Acikgoz,

The only fools are you and the TC football association because you could have been playing international friendlies representing the pseudo state TODAY.

The good news is that the RoC, UEFA and FIFA are very reasonable bodies and if you bring them back to the table stating you were hasty in rejecting the offer, your lads could be playng international football in six months.

Countries that together constitute a single state, technically.

The set up in the UK is a historical exception rather than the rule.

It is problematic, particularly when it comes to the Olympics where GB does not field a united football team.

I think the UK system could work rather well within a united Cyprus.

In the meantime, the TCs would be wise to accept what is on offer at the moment.

So you are telling me you've gone from saying the isolation is Turkey's fault to that's all we're giving you. Play under RoC or don't play at all.
The argument of UEFA and countries is clearly flawed, by having exceptions means the rules are not universal rigidly applied and therefore subject to special situations.

We can thank the GCs for TCs not being able to play footnall in Europe - not Turkey. That fact remains intact

Objection! Northern Ireland is occupied according to the Republic of Ireland and yet they have their own football federation.
