 Next milestone... IBM XT!

If that works, then it's bound to work on my Atari 64. :)

Windows 7 32bit works perfect on old systems. It actually runs better than XP. imo

Hardware detection/Driver simulation: Rubbish! To trick Windows 7 to use your XP drivers for “undetected” devices just do it from SAFE mode!

i dont know why you need to "trick" win 7 for the XP drivers? i have a hp laptop and i have all the correct win 7 drivers i did not need to do any safe mode or compatibility mode and windows update for me found any drivers i forgot to install

I've had 100% success with drivers too - it even found a driver for an obscure PCMCIA serial card in my laptop...

Like you say... you HAD all the Win7 drivers but what if the system is 4-5+ years old?

I would of thought they would still update for windows 7 no matter how old, but i guess i am wrong.. i have seen some webcam manifactures that they did not even make a vista driver for it. but i did not think that would be the same for laptops or pcs installing a new os.

Windows 7 will find the drivers just like XP/Vista did! Whats the point of puting Windows 7 on a piece of crap?
