Gasman, for your information the Greek Cypriots are filming at great length all over the North.
believe me we see them every weekend. they can also park their cars without them getting damaged unlike anybody with a North registration parking in the South.............you are almost certain of scratched bodywork. Prooof if you want it..............do the Police in the South care NOT A JOT. Just tough.
My neighbours here drive a car with TRNC plates. They visit the TRNC every weekend. They have lived here for 5 yrs among GCs (we do not live in an ex pat Brit community) and they have never had their car damaged.
They did tell me they once got called names over in Polis/Latchi a while back.
I was a bit tongue in cheek when I said it - I was going on what the members of the TRNC forums are saying about how they will greet visitors driving RoC plated cars!
If you think I seriously believe it - I can reassure you by telling you I am off over there tomorrow for a couple of days (in my RoC plated car!) I spend quite a bit of time over there and have done so for some years now.
