planning to visit next weekend. Does anyone have suggestions and anyone knows visa requirements?

You will definitely need a visa. Usualy arranged by your travel agent. If you have a previous Israeli visa or stamp in your passport, then forget going there.

The following web page, where you enter your nationality and country of residence to learn if you require a visa, might be of use to you:

For example, the following rule applies:

Citizens of Cyprus residing in Cyprus must apply for a visa to Syria in person at the nearest consulate of Syria in Cyprus.
