I won’t vote ‘yes’ again

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

And this is very relevant to what insan said...!?!

i was just commenting on the fact that TCs love to critisize GC politicians but the matter of the fact is that GCs choose their own politicians. They're base is in Nicosia. Not Athens. So unless TCs vote for Turkish leaders then they are not in complete control of their political destiny.

Where as in a unitary Cyprus with no effective protections for the TC community we would be in complete control of our political destiny?

Protections could be guaranteed in the form Affirmative Action Legislation and benefits. I support an affirmative action program in a unitary state. You must either cooperate or remain in the waste lands of embargoville.

Bizonal ethnic cleansing is a barbaric abomonation.

It's not as simple as that. TCs had a long and hard struggle to put in place a leadership open to a solution. The difference between the old and the current leadership is a fundamental one. Do you want me to tell you what the difference is? You really need to be blind not to see it. The current TC leadership is definitely elected by the TCs, despite presurre from Turkey.

My definition would be a legal right for TC to be able to block legisaltion that affect TC differently to GC.

And what is to gurantee that once you have a unitary state that a GC numerical majority would not legaly and 'democraticaly' decide to remove any affairmative action legislation?

As I could calim you must co operate (recognise TC communites legitimate need for poltical protection / equality at some levels) or remain in a seperated Cyprus with no chance of return for any of the GC that lost land in 74.
