"Commission" biased against restitution

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

"Commission" biased against restitution

Postby SKI-preo » Mon Mar 08, 2010 3:25 pm

The government has issued a statement discouraging refugees from lodging claims through the commission as it has almost exclusively made orders against restitution inter alia.

Looking at the statistics page to the link YFred posted the other day, we see restitution is not being awarded in any significant number.

Which commission - the IPC or the ECHR?
You'll be lucky to get restitution from either now.

Unlike the roc courts who are turning TCs away telling them to wait till an agreement.

What ever next, you just can't please some people.

restitution can only happen with the liberation of the north part of Cyprus from the foreign invaders. Even if the invaders would be willing to allow a few Greek Cypriots to return to their lands, the Greek Cypriots would not want to do so under occupation and the oppressive rule of Turkey.

Therefore, until Cyprus will be liberated from the invaders, the Cypriot people will sue the individuals who are illegally trespassing on their land. This can be done for everybody who has assets in EU, including the TCs who have assets in the free areas of Cyprus.

Therefore there will be neither restitution (until a solution is found) nor a compensation in exchange for our properties. Most people will choose to apply to the courts of Cyprus against individuals in the occupied areas (foreigners and TCs) who trespass on their land and in this way receive what will in effect be compensation for the loss of use of their properties, while the trespasser, who is commiting a criminal offense, will not only have to pay the compensation and the legal fees, but he might also end up in jail if he does not cooperate properly.

people are still afraid YFred but most of them thinking must be some way to get benefit of their properties. They all fed up.I don't blame them, one way or another way they would like to give something for their kids. In both side of divided u can observe this frustration. They are all in hurry. Most of them does not believe that there will be solution very soon.

What i accept very soon they will enlarge the IPC offices...they will put more man to work in it . May be they will move from some where from their present office . to get bigger and place with parking facilities.

If this happens just once, it will set a president that the Roc courts/politicians etc can not get out of in regard to GC refugees living in TC property in the south.
