Unfortunately Cypriot Women are still the underdogs in a lot of what passes for society here.
having spoken to quite a few its true Babies do come first, but a lot said the biggest problem is the baby who doesnt wear nappies any more!

They have no hesitation rolling their eyes when you ask them about Cypriot men, and If you say why did you marry one knowing what he was like? they just shrug....clearly the old ways of the family insist that it should be a Cypriot they marry.
Some still not married are hoping that they get one of the good ones...but they are rare and much sort after.
Women to a lot of Cypriot men are there to be used - just like the old double cab. And how dare she ask if theyve been Gambling or to the Cabaret!
Clearly this lady has seen life outside of the confines of Cyprus and knows theres a bigger world out there..

I think seeing "life outside of the confines of Cyprus" was part of the problem. The fact that I atually had an brain, thought for myself and didn't conform to the "Typicall Cypriot Wife" stereotype must have been part of the problem. I actually questioned some of his opinions and always strived for a better future for all of us, where as he just accepted everything and never tried to better himself or his family.

You are so right BOF, I used to always say I had four children, my three actual children and my husband. He was so immature for his age and I always made excusses for him. He never took any responsibility for anything.

I think the fact that he ran off with a 27 year old Russian when he is 43 just proves my point. He is not some lucky sod who managed to bag a goodlooking Russian girl (she is not your typically Russian leggy blonde, but instead petite and stocky), but an immature, wrinkled and aging bastard who is going out with someone who matches his age mentally and they are both out to have a good time. She actually told me that our children will grow up and leave home and life is for partying, something he always used to say.

Sadly this is a sign of the times, where old cypriot men fool themselves into thinking they are some sort of stud who these Russian girls can not resist, and the problem will get worse before it gets better. Meanwhile there are thousands of children left heartbroken that their fathers leave home, ignore them but are readily willing to take up the responsibily of their Russian whores fatherless children!!

You can not generalize. I accept there are countless of my fellow Cypriots whose brain is in their pants , I have come across a few who left their wives and children because their dick told them too.
There are however , the majority , who meet their obligations to their families , wives children etc and do not run off the minute their dick stands to attention.
As a 64 year old Cypriot who was married till death did us part for over 40 years I can vouch that the best physical relationship with a woman is the one that is based not only on lust but on deep love and respect.
Sex on its own its raw , occasionally pleasant but mostly hollow and forgettable , a wank might even be more satisfying but you will have to ask GR for that !!
The Cypriot men who desert their wives and children and run off with some chick half their age are mostly unsophisticated , hollow dick- heads who should stick to masturbation since they are first class wankers !!
