Observer, I agree with you that playing the "blame game" and concentrating on events that happened half a century ago does not serve unity, peace and friendship. It only serves division among the people. This is obvious.
It is also obvious who benefits from keeping TCs and GCs apart. Turkey (as you correctly said) but also those TCs who are aligned with the Turkish policy of partition.
I, and most GCs (including, I believe, Orcale) would rather talk about how to solve the problems of today, to allow all Cypriots to enjoy their human and democratic rights and make Cyprus a normal EU country without racist discrimination and segregation.
But as they say "it takes two to tango". As we've seen, Turkey and the TCs aligned with the Turkish policy on Cyprus, do not want unity and friendship. They want division, because that is exactly what benefits them. So they come in here and they repeat their own distorted version of some events that happened half a century ago trying to excuse the racist discriminations, the segregation and the human rights violations that they want to impose on Cyprus.
What do you think our reaction should be to such people? Should we let them use the forum as a platform to pass their propaganda, and not remind them of the other side of the story that they choose to ignore?
Personally I think that the people who truly want unity will continue to want it regardless of what Oracle or any Oracle says. Even if we assumed that Oracle was some "evil" person (and I don't believe she is), it would be naive to believe that the 100% of GCs are perfect. Obviously there will always be some bad GCs in the same way there will be bad TCs, bad Turks, bad English etc. So in the same way you don't mind having TC neighbors, even thought there are bad TCs, you shouldn't mind if you have GC neighbors, even though there are some bad GCs as well.
Those racists that don't want GCs as neighbors (and whose views are reinforced by the views of Oracle) are those who do not want unity. They instead want partition and might only accept some form of "unity" (as divisive as possible) only because they can't achieve a complete partition.
