There are many references to Cyprus and "people of Cyprus" in the Bible but there are no mentions of "Cypriot" ... only Greek. And before GR! says well that's different to "Hellene"; it's because the Bible translators (into English), translated "Hellene" (from the New Testament in Greek or equivalent Aramaic etc) into "Greek"! If the Bible was translated into German or Mandarin or whatever other language then you can be sure a different equivalent to "Greek" or "Hellene" would be used! But most normal people would read the historical context and not transfer their present day preferences into rewriting the past!
