The Greek Problem: Turks in Cyprus.

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

@getreal
But in reality, even Christianity came from Cyprus and then spread to Greece because Cyprus was the FIRST country outside the holy land to adopt it!

Curiously where did you get this from? I might be wrong but i seem to recall that its armenia who was the first state to officially adopt christianity as a religion. The wiki section on the armenian orthodox church seems to also agree http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armenian_Apostolic_Church

The Armenians had built the first Christian church outside the holy land but they were not the first Christians to export/import Christianity itself.

The early missionary work of Paul, Barnabas, and Mark saw Christianity spread to Cyprus first although no church was built before the Armenian one you mention.

Acts 12:25:

"And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem, when they had fulfilled their ministry, and took with them John, whose surname was Mark."

Acts 13:5:

"And when they were at Salamis, they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews: and they had also John to their minister."

Acts 13:13:

"Now when Paul and his company loosed from Paphos, they came to Perga in Pamphylia: and John departing from them returned to Jerusalem."

NB: Mark and Barnabas were cousins, both Cypriots and lived in Cyprus.

It’s a load of rubbish!

Acts 4:36, from multiple versions of the bible…

http://bible.cc/acts/4-36.htm

… Barnabas was 100% Cypriot!

The foolish author has been challenged…
