Are you abandoning the talks now?

Billy boy, you keep going on about abandoning the talks, may I ask if your were abandoned in your life. You seem to have an obsession with it.
Regarding the Talks, Eroglu will give you exactly what you have been asking for. Negotiations without time frames. Isn't that what you were after. Pray that Eroghlu comes to power cause that's what you is gettin.

Are you pissing off from the talks as well then?

Ma en gadalaves, tha su da bo elliniga, O Erouglu na sas sindihanni shillyes hronyes. Straobelecin banosu.

Turkey doesn't have that long to complete EU Accession ....... ...

So are you still going to hang around at the talks?

If that was meant to be a joke, it wasn't funny. Turkey has another 10 years to negotiate entry into eu. Do yoy see the talks lasting 10 years?
Don't worry, By the end of this year it'll be all over one way or another.
Is your hair blond these days?

No I dye it black.

We're relying on Plan X ......

The Thing will be settled the day before Turkey signs the Accession Treaty, no earlier or later. ..... :D

By the time Turkey is ready to sign the accession treaty there will not be a EU worth joining...Those of you who have put all your eggs in the EU basket will be terribly disappointed... :(
I would go back and start working on Plan B if I were you ,Bill...
The eggs in Plan X have gone foul... :)

For your info, the EU is the world’s wealthiest entity so the chances of Turkey (your chosen route to gypsydom) outliving the EU is zero!

In reality, Turkey thought that the issue would be resolved very quickly, not take 36 years. How many times have leaders of the GC's and the TC's met in 36 years, yet a resolution, compromise could not be reached.

It's funny you say that because we feel totally innocent since 1570 when something terrible happened...

what about the Venetians and Romans and others before 1570, were they your friends and let the local inhabitants rule the Island? I don't think so.

welcome dear elena,

you are a Cypriot, as an Individual you say the things worth saying, then your compatriats butter it up by demonstrating how far apart they are as Persons. you worry about the Patrimony which it seems is more precious to Humanity, than it is to Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots. you care for Cyprus beyond its politics. there is no denial, in my mind, that many who write on this forum have been affected brutally by the past, but for many they have not come to realise that they must choose, and in their acts demonstrate a courage to go beyond this fear. things cannot stay the same for ever, this is clear. perhaps famagusta will be rebuilt, like an end to the Cold War where this Problem started, like other European cities which were bombed to ruin in WWII. perhaps we will witness a moment where we feel pride as People when we rebuild it better.

...please read my manifesto.

yOU WANT A BET? By the time the EU resques all those economically struggling members (Greece,Spain,Portugal...to begin with) political will of the economic powerhouses would run out...Or they themselves would become as poor as a church mouse...World's resources cannot support the liberal capitalist free market economy ,as we know it,for much longer...It will be everybody for themselves pretty soon...Then we shall see the rats deserting the sinking ship...I am not gloating over this by the way...Our children will see very diffcult times ahead... :(

Too many countries will be too preocuppied with their revolting populations to worry about our little problem in our little island...And the first thing that will suffer will be democracy and human rights, as countries become more and more authoritarian..Nothing much to look forward to I am afraid...
