Spanish Govt invites Talat to Spain for talks.

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Spanish Govt invites Talat to Spain for talks.

Postby Gasman » Sun Feb 28, 2010 3:21 pm

President Talat explained that Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Angel Moratinos’ invitation to talks was the first time an EU country had done so. As Spain currently holds the rotating presidency of the EU this is a very important move.

He has lied in exactly the same way before and was exposed ....

Gasbag ... please refrain from propagating propaganda and stick to mainstream publications unless you have some other verifiable, back-up source.

In this case, we should wait for the Spanish authorities to make such an announcement, not some desperado trying to gain votes in upcoming elections!

Shame on you ...

Ooo - resorting to name calling again?

Madame - do not tell me what I can and cannot post on here!

If you don't believe a word of it - say so in response.

But no - as per your norm - you just cannot ABIDE seeing anything relating to Turks, Turkey, TCs, on your monitor screen can you?

My reasoned response to this (had someone else posted it) would have been 'why am I only seeing this reported in Turkish/Arabic news sources'.

But, make what you will of it - it IS being reported - in many places. You can deny it is true - you cannot deny it is being reported!

Shouldn't you be in church?

You'll find a press release from the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs here : http://www.maec.es/en/MenuPpal/Actualidad/NotasdePrensa/Paginas/16NP20100221EN.aspx

Although there is no direct mention of Talat, given that Spain currently holds the EU presidency and given the moment in the Cyprus negotiations it is quite reasonable to expect that the Spanish foreign minister would arrange to meet Talat.

By what stretch of the imagination?

As I said.

Why is it "reasonable" to expect a legitimate government (Spain) to meet with some community leader (Talat) practicing treason within a fellow EU member country (Cyprus)? Would President Christofias seek Spain's help to make Talat tow the line?

I would class that "meeting" as not only "unreasonable" but "unnecessary" and "unlikely" and hence making a complete mockery of Gasbag's press-release! Thanks CopperLine for confirming the absurdity of such an "appointment"! :D
