They should not let the people to build on river beds.

And the moral of the story is that you should leave and not attempt to live in Cyprus!

A plague on all the stolen houses ...

No they should not. But it is an issue in the RoC too. Building illegally on dry river and stream beds, ravines and rubble-filled gullies causing major problems and heartache during the heavy winter rains. Has been in the news re the Paphos area recently.

Yes.

In the west country region of the UK it rains a lot but, just let there be 3 days with no rain in summer (I use the term 'summer' quite loosely) and you can guarantee there will be a hosepipe ban!

If you live where, as far as you can see on 3 sides, there is nothing but water (the ocean), it really does make you wonder about 'water shortage' lol!

That was in the aftermath of three years' drought. The heavy rains this winter have replenished the dams and we should be OK for the next two years.

Abdul,

Here is my contribution, whilst making charitable donations will sort out the immediate problem it will not sort it out long term.

The TCs should push for reunification so that EU funds can then be used to bring the place up to scratch because Turkey is evidently being negligent.
