In fact I have been assured by PMs (and I'd bloody cringe if I thought PMs like this were circulating about me) that she is, in fact, quite intelligent so not to be too harsh on her. She apparently has 'serious issues' or 'has changed'? Not a blerdy clue. And not a bloody care either!

My view of her is a raving foaming at the mouth GC fanatic who detests all things TC and Turkish and hates to even see the words in type on a monitor screen unless they are included in a filthy insult about them!

I do detest her childish attention seeking style of multi coloured varying font size over punctuated postings. Especially when she is 'quoting'. If all her colouring in and screaming for attention was not in the original post - she should not alter the original and then post it as a 'quote'. It can have the effect of making a quite mild mannered posting look as if it was typed by someone who was incensed and outraged when they were nothing of the sort.

But I realise it is very important to her to be able to make one post take up about 6 screens by enlarging font, bolding, underlining, spacing out, adding a zillion outraged apostrophes and 4 different font colours - because she has made that quite clear!

I bet she sends lovely home made greeting cards.

Hey Gasman how would you feel if your home land was invaded and you were evicted from your property because of your ethnic back ground would'nt you be full of hate for the occupying army. Many GC's lost their homes loved ones and many of the women were raped by the TA.

Come on wanker tell me how you would feel?

Lets just say you lost your house your daughter was raped along with your wife and your son was murdered how would you feel? Would you have nice things to say about the occupation force?

Unfortunately atrocities happened to both communities and all the misery you outline started in the 1950's not just from 1974. TC also lost family, land and were murdered and raped. Nobodies suffering can ever be excused - thats the tragedy of Cyprus

Georgey baby, don't be a wanker all your life. Talk to the very people who have suffered and you may be surprised at their attitude. Only fascists like you have hatred in your heart. The saving grace is that that hatred does more damage to you then your enemy. Fancy that?

Many continued to speak Greek until recently and many Turkish Cypriots will admit to you that their grandmother or somebody in their family was Greek Cypriot. Greek Cypriots who did not convert resented their privilege but especially the newly converted Cypriots that they turned their back on their culture. Can you imagine if your brother or sister were born in one culture but then jumped on the band wagon to another (invading) culture to enjoy privileges? This is similar to the way Croats split from the Serbs. Genetically it is almost impossible to tell them apart.

A simple IQ test between the two groups would easily turn your DNA theory on its head…

So what would you expect the result of the IQ test to show?

Not much when done on Turkish Cypriots… :?

George I have only to read the posts following my last one to confirm that I am right to think that most GCs hate TCs and vice versa. Whatever is said about them only hating the Turks and Turkish army.

Actually Cypriots, like the citizens of any sovereign country would, despise anyone plotting or supporting the dismemberment of their country. They hate Kissinger for example.

Well they didn't always hate Kissinger. Only after they discovered the 'truth about him'. When I first moved to Cyprus, lots of GCs were keen to tell me how they viewed the US as one of their greatest allies and champions.

When it was quite well known (mainly on the internet) about the facts re the US and the Turkish Invasion there were still GCs who wouldn't believe it. Not until it was made public.

All I am saying is I cannot see any happy reconciliation of GCs and TCs all together living together on the island. With or without the Turkish Army.

I don't think many here really believe these talks will end in agreement. I would be interested to know what you think WILL happen (assuming they won't).

Return to the status quo, yes, OK. But nothing STAYS THE SAME FOREVER does it?

My own view is that the outcome of the Orams case will have been bad news for the TRNC in regards to future investment over there (in the same way that foreigners were put off investing in East Germany after reunification because of all the property claims).

But I cannot see how the TRNC could view reunification as a good thing where the property is concerned either. Maybe unification could have speeded up property matters, but without unification it will all just take longer to resolve.

It is a fact that they are obviously not totally isolated nor shunned by the rest of the world. Lots of big multinational companies have businesses over there. Tourists are holidaying there. GCs themselves are putting business their way by using their casinos and clubs.

While crossings remain open I don't see a lot of incentive for the TCs to offer anything much as a carrot for a settlement.

It might be a different story if the crossings closed. Especially as most travelling to there use LCA to get there.

Of course if the crossings did ever close, the RoC would lose money too - all the money spent by those who fly here to go there, and money spent by those who exclusively shop here (quite a lot of them).
