I would like to trace my husbands family ancestry. Does anyone know what resources if any are available & where I would find them.

I'm already on there.. I have mine back to 1750's. I would like to trace my husbands Cypriot ancestry..

Doesn't the poor bastard know who his father is?... Just kidding. If you know where he comes from in Cyprus you can often access very detailed genealogical info from a mouchtari. My Grandad was a Mouchtari from the Kyrenia region and he kept a humungous book detailing births deaths and marriages going back a few hundred years. Not all towns kept these books and some where destroyed/ burned in the war.

I think his Mum would have very harsh words to say to you if she saw that! :lol:
His Dad was from Ayios Ambrosious Kyrenia & his Mum is originally from Rissokarpasso. I have got some info from relations but I just thought there may be some central place where you can go for info full names, dates, etc,
I have heard of these humongous books but don't remember who told me.
