Dairy products and citrus surprises me as you cannot buy a decent bottle of fresh milk hardly anywhere there (if you can find it it is usually 'off') and hardly any eatery establishments serve FRESH orange juice. They serve that awful concentrate stuff. The poor Brits staying in hotels are often seen bringing their own into the breakfast room lol!

wow - a trade deficit of $1.2 billion...who's lending all that money to finance this deficit, year after year? And people think that Greece has a debt crisis!

Don't particularly give a toss about Greece . Cyprus is ok though !!
As you can see the indeginous Cypriots care mostly , if not exclusively , about Cyprus unlike you two , VP and R/A who , being foreigners , care about Turkey !!

So the Turks take over a territory which accounted for 70 percent of Cyprus' GDP, and should have been producing nearly $30Billion, and reduce it to a deficit of $1.2Billion.

Great all round success story by Turkish standards ...

Or you could say that the sanctions imposed on them were bringing about the desired result?

Or you could ask how are they benefiting by destroying the economy of 200,000 GCs? The economy which does not belong to Turk-TCs.

Criminals should not prosper!

What do you mean you don't care about Greece? A fellow EU member country who has crippled herself financially to keep the Turkish belligerents at bay!

According to Tzavella, Turkey also threatens the security of Greek territories.

“We, as Greek politicians, cannot see how Turkey can keep a threat of war against Greece in the 21st century. This threat has caused my country a lot of defense expenditures,” she said. “If Turkey wants to improve its relationship with Greece, the Parliament should withdraw casus belli against Greece. We all consider it one of the hottest issues between the two countries. We take it very seriously.” Casus belli is a Latin term referring to justification for acts of war and refers to offenses or threats directly against a country.

Turkey still tops the list of countries perceived as a threat by Greece, whose government’s defense expenditures have pushed the limits of its state budget. A Turkish-Greek dogfight over the Aegean Sea cost 10,000 euros for each fighter jet. Because of this security dilemma, Greece has increased its defense expenditures to $76 billion over the past decade.
