TRNC’S FOREIGN TRADE

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Bapou, for all you think of Greece and "Greeks", perhaps you ought to consider that it is the Greek military that provides a limit to the vulnerability of the RoC. You might also like to consider that had it not been for the absurd amount the Greek state is forced to spend on armaments, Greece would not be in such dire financial straits, or at least the tax-dodging population would've been able to enjoy an extra week's holiday a year drinking frapedes all day in the islands.

Wishful thinking on my part I realise. Consider this then: if as a result of this crisis facing the Greek state that you so casually don't care about (and please for the sake of all of us use language more befitting a man of your age and stature; your choice of words evokes deeply disturbing images in us all) the strength of the Greek military is reduced relative to that of the turks, and the Greeks need to make decisions about prioritising defenses, you might find that the chances of the 'n' being dropped from 'trnc' might slowly increase over time...something you might one day care about.

Great all round success story by Turkish standards ...

You really need an explanation

Ok, let me see, just a couple of things to think about:

1. Compare the population size and the ability to produce goods and services pre and post 1974.

2. How about UN embargo? and no one willing to trade with TRNC directly.

So you mean despite the might and glory of the turkish military, you guys might've over-reached, killed too many civilians, and ethnically cleansed too large an area for your own good, and as a result become worse off than before? What is the parable about the monkey with a jar of peanuts who closes his fist around too many peanuts to get his hand out of the jar, but is too greedy to release a few in order to get at least some out?

There's a UN embargo?

Whether its an embargo who an unrecognized occupation, the North cannot trade directly with other countries.

For God Sakes, foreign planes can't even land in the TRNC.
