Are you saying that if someone 'walked away from' their home (as opposed to being driven out of it at gunpoint) they have no right to complain that it was stolen after they left?.

Gasbag, not only did they have the choice to stay in the free areas, but when they left their homes were not stolen (or sold on) but kept waiting for the day they return. That is still the case.

Care to correct your assertion?

If I only knew how to write that in Turkish, along with a pop-up book, I would show you that the "trnc" is a fictional thought for a Turk when she cries loud for it.

Time to remind you one of my favourite sayings....BETTER TO KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT AND LET PEOPLE SUSPECT YOU HAVE NOTHING TO SAY,THAN OPEN IT AND REMOVE ALL DOUBT...

I have something to say Birk: Can't wait till you Turks evolve to reasonable human beings.......

By the sound of your posts you are unable to judge who or what is a reasonable human being...But we can't expect too much from ostriches, can we now????

It wouldn't take an ostrich 36 years to figure out what it is. If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck, it couldn't be an ostrich. Now would it?

Just let us know when you grow up, so we can start reading your posts.

I'll do that for you YFrosoula, as soon as you and your girlfriends wipe all the lipstick off the trees in the mountains.

Did you used to listen to Frosu and Towli too?
If I could remove it, I would. Sign the agreement and make it one of the conditions. TCs will vote for it.

You definitely need to get out and about round the island a bit more Oracle. I know for a FACT that is NOT the case for all TC owned property.

I know a GC who has renovated and converted one into a Taverna up above Limassol. I know some nearer to where I live that have recently been restored and are being lived in.

I have been told that they take them on for peanuts money on the understanding that if the TC owner turns up to claim it they will have to give it back and not get any reparation for the money they spent improving.

But that is not quite the same as 'kept waiting for their return' in the way you make it sound.

There are others that have been demolished. Again, not exactly 'kept waiting for their return' is it?

I found an interesting article on this very subject today relating to 'Trespass'. But I won't post it in here because you wouldn't believe a word of it anyway lol!

But I bet you'd really like to read it!

BirKibrisli I might. But to be fair, I think I should give her time to get over the 'Airport' threads first!

I think it should be made mandatory for all those who pontificate about this island and the future of this island to get out and bloody go and SEE all of this island. And talk to the people who live on it.

Instead of living in their own heads and going on and on about ancient history and spouting rubbish about what's happening today when they obviously have no idea because they have no personal experience to draw on.

Turkey has ruined the North? Let's take that one. At least it is all low rise over there.

RoC has more than ruined a lot of the South. Limassol for starters is an eyesore. Didn't they have planning depts in Cyprus when they threw that lot together?

They are putting up another 'prestige development' on the seafront and said they were going to leave the old ETKO chimney intact in the centre of it as it is part of Cyprus history.

When I last visited and checked ... yeah, you guessed, it's GONE!

Ugly doesn't come near describing what they've done over this side.

A boring, relative, and pointless argument!

Has Singapore or Hong Kong been ruined? …because they’re all concrete!

Such is the demand in small overcrowded places that are expanding but they’re still very beautiful metropolises!

You simply cannot have a natural looking country while the population is increasing. Just stop reproducing and whatever is left of nature will be preserved.
